Below you will find some of the most common questions we are asked regarding our work and services. If there are any questions you have that are not listed below, please get in touch with us here.
What is Equine Facilitated Learning?
Equine Facilitated Learning is working in partnership with a horse to learn about oneself.

Do I need to have any experience of horses?
No experience of horses is required. You will be given some instruction in horse-related safety and some time to interact with the herd, in order to identify the particular horse that you would like to work with.
Does Equine Facilitated Learning involve any riding?
There is no riding involved. Once you have found an equine partner to work with, you and the horse will negotiate an individually designed obstacle course representing specific challenges. There will be a horse-handler present at all times to ensure that both you and the horse are safe.
What are the pricing options for our sessions?
The first initial meeting with us is entirely free. Any sessions after that have subsequent prices based on the nature of the experience during the session. Please feel free to contact us if you would like more information on this.
What happens if I don’t get on with the horse during the session?
Horses are not machines, they are sensitive to the energy given off by people and if either you, or the horse, decide that the partnership is not working then the horse-handler will return the horse to the field. You can then decide to either spend some time connecting with a different horse or you can come back another time. There’s always another day.
What if I change my mind and just want to brush a horse or sit in the field with one?
Sometimes the most effective sessions are those in which you learn to be in the moment by just doing whatever feels right at the time. If this is something as simple as brushing a horse, taking them for a walk or sitting in the field watching them eat, then this is completely fine. All of our sessions are flexible and bespoke, with your wellbeing the priority.
